John MacMahon

John was most recently the President and CEO for Mitralign Inc., a venture backed start-up in Tewksbury, MA, USA., focused on developing a percutaneous heart failure treatment. The most recent round drew in corporate co-investors Johnson and Johnson Development Corp, [NYSE: JNJ] and Medtronic [NYSE: MDT]. Mr. MacMahon led the team to deliver the first ever percutaneous direct mitral valve repair. Before joining Mitralign, Mr. MacMahon had taken Kerberos Proximal Solutions, as a co-founder, from two to sixty employees. While developed with a corporate partner, Boston Scientific [NYSE:BSX], in 2006, Kerberos was acquired as a complimentary product by Fox Hollow Technologies [NASDAQ:FHT]. A proud graduate of the first Medical Device Design class at Stanford University, Mr. MacMahon received an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and a B.SC from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Mr. MacMahon is presently actively mentoring a number of developmental start-up ventures.
